This is the first year I haven't seen talk of Free RPG Day PDFs, but it's always possible I'm looking in the wrong places.
Some publishers don't do PDF versions, and some that wait a week or two to release them, but usually there's some info on them.
Ah well.
Missed out on the Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls adventure and the Goodman Games DCC / XCrawl combo at Noble Knight - guess I should have stayed up last night ;)
edit: +Erik Jensen is working on a list of Free RPG Day PDFs

The only freebie that appealed to me was the Frog God Games - Hall of Bones - is it? Or did I dream that title?
ReplyDeleteI was just wondering the same thing, Erik.
ReplyDeleteErik, I got copies of each. Going to look through them then send them your way.
ReplyDeletedamn Tim! very generous
Deletewould you happen to like a copy of the two recently released Appendix N DCC Adventures in return? :)
Thanks Erik, but I've got mine coming in a couple of weeks from John's schedule of mailings. My pleasure to share the wealth.
DeleteSince this year has been lacking Free RPG Day PDFs next year maybe do something similar as what happened with S&W appreciation day. Except with systems wide open to what ever.
Picked up the Hall of Bones - looks fun - the most useful bit is Bill Webb's essay on his approach to OSR gaming.
ReplyDeleteThe rest of the stock was thin - passed on the LotFP module. I'll wait to see what pops up on pdf later.
Thanks for sharing this. I'm in a major metro area, and the closest game store supporting anything was nearly 60 miles away. Yes... I am lazy.:D
ReplyDeleteWould it make sense that fewer Free RPG Day releases are available in PDF to encourage people to visit the brick-and-mortar FLGS?
ReplyDeleteYes...what Eldric IV said. Not only that, but publishers who participate are required to not have the items out on PDF until July 1st so there was/is a reason to go to your FLGS.
