The response to the 12 Days of OSR Christmas is simple more than I expected by many magnitudes, both with the gifts to be given away and the folks that are hoping to be gifted.
Like always, it seems that these events take on a life of their own and I'm just along for the ride. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get everything out in the 12 days I'm running this, but if there are gifts that don't make the 12 days, I'll kick the rest of them off with the New Year - kinda like a Three Kings Day extension to the whole thing.
There will be a major "event" hosted here at The Tavern, probably before the month of January wraps up - or at least should kick off sometime in January and run a bit beyond. It will require a bit more effort than "just a comment", but the rewards will be equal to the effort required.
Yep, something else that will probably resemble me trying to ride a dragon by holding on to it's tale. It's worked okay for me thus far ;)

Reward equal to the effort required? Sounds great! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd, as there probably won't be so many comments here, I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you. The 12 days of OSR Christmas you're putting on is a wonderful gift to the community.
let's just say it will require some creativity, and I have some sponsors that have offered to pony-up "cash monies"
Deletemore as we get closer to the "event"
should be a blast
"Holding on to a tale" is difficult to do. ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on running a great project!
can't wait to put your runes up for the taking ;)
DeleteI think we're all enjoying the ride, and I for one certainly appreciate the effort and the goals. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for a contest that creates content. Of course I've already won a give away so I'm happy with how things are going either way:)
ReplyDeleteMy thanks and congrats with everyone else. As far as getting everything out... since the 12 days of Christmas technically start on Christmas day and go through the eve of the Epiphany, you could keep giving things out until then (Epiphany is Jan. 6).
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to it!
