Holy Sh!ti. That is awesome.
ReplyDeleteWith that many I hope you weed out the absolute duds (if any) and obvious copyright violations and bundle the rest into a magic item compendium.
ReplyDeleteI was just looking at one of my 3 entries and noticed a small typo. I assume that stuff will eventually be cleaned up or fixed before the magic items are showcased. Maybe a beta version that people can tweak, fix, or make small changes to before it's released in its final form (also assuming that happens)?
ReplyDeleteI second this request. I noticed a typo or two in my own submissions, even though I thought I had gone over them with a fine-toothed comb.
DeleteIt usually takes time - like a week or two - before one is able to objectively edit one's own work - and even then errors crop up! I'm sure 90% of the entries have at least a typo or something that needs fixing.
DeleteWoot!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about how you should tackle extra prizes.
ReplyDeleteHow about you make categories for some extra prizes - best weapon, best "useless" item, best evil item?
This is how they handle it on boardgame geek / RPG geek all the time, it seems to be working fine.
Are reponses being sent out when an entry is received? Just want to make sure mine went through.
ReplyDeleteI found some items in my uncle's chest and sent them your way Tenkar.
ReplyDeleteFinally! Just sent my entries away. I'm glad to have participated in this awesome competition.
ReplyDeleteSo, does this contest mean the "12 Days of Christmas" is over, or are we going to return to that a couple months after Christmas?
ReplyDeleteI still have items left to ship from "12 Days of OSR Christmas" (thank God i'm off tomorrow and the licensed postal affiliate is open, so some shipping should happen tomorrow).
DeleteI also have stuff left to give away - I'm thinking I won't be running any Appreciation Days this spring after this huge event (325 magic items entered and counting), so maybe Christmas Around US Tax Time will work for giving more gifts away
