ReplyDeleteI'm completely shocked that White Star stays #1. I may cave and get it just to see what's up, but concede that I'm too finicky in my SF tastes to probably be able to use it....although if anyone can tell me if WS does serious hard SF well let me know, it may change my mind.
ReplyDeleteNicholas, as much as I hate to say it - White Star is definitely more pulp sci-fi than hard sci-fi. More Flash Gordon, Star Wars, Buck Rogers and that ilk. If you're looking for hard sci-fi, White Star CAN do it, but I don't think it's particularly suited to it.
