I was disappointed in this box set. The adventure felt like it was written by a 12 year old. Which I guess is the point, but also not something you would want to run.
ReplyDeleteThe other 5e starter sets are better. The new Essentials Box, for now only at Target, is even almost even a true starter set as it has character creation. It doesn't have a DM book with monsters and how to make an adventure but the include adventure has more player agency even if it simplistic.
All that being said 5e is too magic heavy for me.
