Tavern Update - Forthcoming MIA and Summer Plans

Tomorrow I have Pre Admission Screening for a procedure on Monday. So, I wont be posting next Monday or Tuesday - but you're in good hands, Chris will be back (more on Chris later :)

After I'm home and settled in there are various projects and the like I've had planned for a while that should start taking shape. We'll get Th4e Tavern hosted game weekend up and running virtually, hopefully by the end of June (what with nearly all of the major conventions canceled or transitioning online). I'll return to writing regular gaming content for sharing here at The Tavern and hopefully resurrect the Torchlight Zine.

Tavern Chat will start its Fireside Chats again and Rach and I will be doing a regular Gamers' & Health podcast within the podcast.

This is the mystery of “Free 100 Level Dungeon”. Does anyone have this or have more info on this Dungeon?

I have absolutely scoured there internet and asked everyone I know. Here is what I’ve learned so far. This was a half page ad from Marvel’s X-Factor, issue #28, May 1988. The address is in a shopping center in Brampton Ontario a a suburb of Toronto.

$12 USD in 1988 would be worth $26 today adjusted for inflation. I do think it’s strange that the ad doesn’t specify CAD or USD.

Without an actual title or a author’s name chances of finding this one are slim as those are the normal means of cataloguing the written word. Have you seen this or know the author? Did you ever visit Star Games in Brampton?

Scents and Sensibilities is a three-part resource for those who choose to challenge their players with the foul-smelling monsters known as stank hogs. The first section is a short adventure called The Manufactory of Fumario, and the second section is an erudite discussion of the stank hog (Sus noxium). The third section contains statistics for adult and young stank hogs. 

The Manufactory of Fumario is suitable for 4–6 characters of level 1-3. The adventure begins with the characters encountering Fumario, a perfume-dealer who travels among strange worlds and even other planes of existence. His manufactory travels with him, and the characters (as heroes do) stumble into a bizarre encounter with him. Fumario’s methods and motivations are inexplicable, but this is usually the case with supernatural patrons…

We have partnered with our friends at Gate Keeper Games to produce the HYPERBOREA DICE! These dice are being created using GKG's special "Neutron Dice" formula. Each die has three layers, featuring a shining band of pearlescent icy blue nestled between two transparent outer layers. The colour scheme represents the glacial ice of HYPERBOREA and its scarlet, bloated sun (Helios).
