The Midderlands is probably the best setting book I've come across in my years as a gamer. Yep, even better than Greyhawk & The Forgotten Realms IMHO. Of recent releases, the Lost Lands is a close second. The setting is familiar yet completely different, and Glynn has supported the setting with further releases as well as a series of Midderzine releases - a zine for The Midderlands :)
